Consolidated Mission Statement / Motto Selected by Staff
After calculating combined votes from the Girard and Virden staff members recently, the following mission statement and motto were selected for the consolidated district:
Motto:
EDUCATE- INSPIRE - TRANSFORM
Mission Statement:
Education is the shared responsibility of the student, home, school, and community to promote self-directed learners, collaborative workers, complex thinkers, and community contributors in an ever-changing society.
This will be displayed in buildings, on the new web site, and on district letterhead. More importantly, it will be used as the focal point for all school improvement activities in the future.
